Dementia Live
Dementia Live is an immersive, high-impact simulation that helps care givers experience the sensory and cognitive challenges faced by people living with dementia. By mimicking symptoms such as tunnel vision, impaired processing, and altered touch, caregivers develop deeper empathy - and ultimately, provide more compassionate, person-centered care.
Anybody who has a loved one with dementia or memory loss concerns, or simply wants to learn more about dementia is welcome to take these classes.
A couple of notes:
*A person with dementia, or suspected dementia, should NOT participate in the Dementia Live simulation. They would be welcome to attend Dementia 101, but would only observe Dementia Live.
*Depending on attendance, not everyone may be able to go through Dementia Live but will be able to observe the selected participants.
